It’s been more than three years since a monster tornado swept across a wide swath of northwest Dallas. Some property owners are still struggling to rebuild because insurers have disputed their damages claims and are not honoring the terms of their contracts. 

Law360 recently wrote about one of Gravely PC’s lawsuits stemming from the tornado. In Samurai Global LLC v. Landmark American Insurance Company, the owners of an apartment complex hit by the tornado are seeking damages caused by the tornado, as well as subsequent vandalism, theft and fire damages caused by the insurer’s slow response.
